A mountain pass, dividing two lands;
The Dawnish were lining for war;
The brave knights of Glory were facing the foe
And d'Avernaux stood at the fore.

The Earl of the Sunrise saw they were few;
And sent her own forces to aid;
So d'Acier bold, with the tower unfurled,
Joined hands with their cousins that day.

And we saw the bright grace,
And the light on their faces,
Two houses United at War.

As the d'Avernaux Earl took the field with his kin,
The leader of d'Acier bold
Embraced her south cousin with joy in her eyes
And Glory for warriors all.

The troubadours noble fought and they sang;
As two houses fought side by side;
And the d'Avernaux, d'Acier, warriors all;
Proved cousins could share the same pride.

A Princess of Ealdormere bold
